  52. To start using Vocab, just double-click its icon.

  54. For information on any feature, try Balloon Help. If you want a detailed
  55. walkthrough or indepth information on Vocab’s features, look in the User’s
  56. Guide (in the same folder as Vocab.) You can get quick access to the User’s
  57. Guide from the Help menu in Vocab.

  59. Important: Before running Vocab, read and agree to the Agreement at the
  60. bottom of this document.

  62. Vocab is Shareware
  63.  
  64. Vocab is shareware. Registration is cheap - only $18US. You can register
  65. online at http://order.kagi.com/?UE9&S (or http://order.kagi.com/?UE9 for
  66. non-SSL Secure version) or use the Register program to generate a payment
  67. form. For more information, see the How To Register section of this document.

  69. Registration to Vocab includes registration to future Vocab releases, and
  70. other ‘Cab software products such as Vocab Scheduler.

  72. After 30 days, if you haven't registered, you won't be able to save word
  73. lists longer than 25 words, and will no longer be able to generate new lists
  74. from problem words.

  76. Distributing Vocab
  77.  
  78. Vocab is shareware. This means unregistered copies can be freely
  79. distributed, providing Vocab is distributed unmodified and the distribution 
  80. includes this document, the User's Guide and the Register program. We
  81. encourage you to distribute unregistered copies of Vocab as widely as possible.

  83. Vocab may be distributed via any electronic or physical means. If you are
  84. distributing it on a CDROM or similar, or placing it on a large internet site, I
  85. would appreciate an email to tell me about it.

  87. Registration codes may not be distributed.

  90. How To Register
  91.  
  92. Registering Vocab is easy:
  93.  
  94. Online registration is at http://order.kagi.com/?UE9&S for the SSL Secure
  95. version, or http://order.kagi.com/?UE9 for the unsecure version.

  97. Otherwise, use the Register program that came with Vocab to generate a
  98. payment form and send it to Kagi, who handles payments for Vocab.
  99.  
  100. To use Register, just open it in the Finder and enter your details. Payments
  101. can be made by credit card, cash, First Virtual, Check, Money Order or
  102. Invoice.
  103.  
  104. Credit card or First Virtual payment forms can be emailed or faxed. Email
  105. them to sales@kagi.com or fax to +1 510 652-6589. You can email forms by
  106. pressing Copy in Register, and then pasting into an email program, or
  107. pressing Save and then attaching the payment document to an email. Email
  108. payments are processed in 3 to 4 days. Fax payments take up to 10 days.

  110. If you are paying with Cash or USD Check you should print the data using the
  111. Register application and send it to the address shown on the form, which is:

  118. You can pay with a wide variety of cash from different countries but at
  119. present, if you pay via check, it must be a check drawn in US Dollars. Kagi
  120. cannot accept checks in other currencies.

  122. Please do not fax or email payment forms that indicate Cash, Check or
  123. Invoice as the payment method.
  124.  
  125. Payments sent via postal mail take time to reach Kagi and then up to 10
  126. days for processing.

  128. After your payment has been processed you will receive an email from Kagi,
  129. if you provided an email address. Otherwise you will receive a postcard
  130. receipt. In your email or receipt will be your personal registration code for
  131. Vocab. To use this code, choose About Vocab from the Apple menu and then
  132. click on Register. Make sure the name you enter is identical to the name you
  133. put on your payment form. Do not distribute your registration code.

  143. SOFTWARE) IS PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR IN GOOD FAITH. THE AUTHOR EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL
  144. WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
  145. MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO COMMUNICATION OR INFORMATION
  146. FROM THE AUTHOR WILL CREATE A WARRANTY. THE USER USES THE SOFTWARE AT THEIR OWN RISK.

  164. Definitions of Site License

  166. A Site License allows anyone located at the specified location of the purchasing organization
  167. (as agreed) to register Vocab and use a registered copy of Vocab on computer systems belonging to
  168. that organization and located at that location. A site license for Vocab costs $150US
  169.
